Fabric requirements:
Minimum of 92 to 100 2 1⁄2” fabric squares (variety is important) for the tree
● A charm pack will yield 160 squares
● A jelly roll will also give you a variety of squares
2 - 4 x 4 1⁄2 “ brown pieces of fabric for the trunk.
Batting and backing pieces that measure at least 4 1⁄2” wide
Cut all backing and batting strips to 4 1⁄2” wide. This reduces excess
trimming and waste.
Preclass cutting:
2 - 4 x 4 1⁄2 “ brown pieces of fabric for the trunk.

You will need:

● 3 - 4 1⁄2 “ WOF strips for backing
● 3 - 4 1⁄2 “ strips of batting (at least 100”); or you can also precut
your batting scraps according to the cutting

Section 5 - 5x2 10 x 4 1⁄2”
Section 4 - 5x2 10 x 4 1⁄2”
